Ok - I know I've been bad

And everyone wants pictures. I have some video too - but have NO idea how to convert it to something actually uploadable as opposed to the HUMUNGOUS files they are now. :)

So anyway - As of yesterday Mikki is 8weeks old, 11lb 10oz, and 24" long and growing WONDERFULLY according to the dr. She is a happy baby who seems to enjoy Opera. :) Go figure.

I"m doing well - been back at work for about 2.5 weeks, and working with her here at home - not the easiest thing in the world but I'm managing for now until we figure out our daycare situation. Her naming at the temple will be Thanksgiving weekend . . .

Without further ado :) here are some pictures

Opera huh? That sounds like an auspicious development. :-) Cute baby!

Well of course she'd like opera, she comes from such a cultured, educated family! Isn't she just the cutest pumpkin? Mommy is looking pretty fine herself so soon after giving birth -- good for you!

what a cutie!

you could upload the vids to youtube. that seems to be the easiest way to embed in a blog and share them. there are other vid sharing sites too...

She's just too cute. She's going to be trouble, mark my words. [grin]

As far as manipulating graphics, I highly recommend GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) at http://www.gimp.org

It's not quite as full-featured of human friendly as, say, PhotoShop, but it's free and it does a damned good job.

Using the drop-downs /Images/Canvas Size (for cropping) and /Images/Scale Image, it's easy to crop and resize images from the multi-megapixel monstrosity that the camera generates to something more manageable.

GIMP is available for WinDOZE (http://www.gimp.org/windows), OS X (http://www.gimp.org/macintosh) and Unix/Linux, BSD, etc. (http://www.gimp.org/unix).
